Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself.

Extremely rare Yiddish text home front conservation poster. Dockside, immigrants in clothing from the old country get their first glimpse of Lady Liberty in New York harbor welcoming them to their new homeland.
"Food will win the war! You came here seeking freedom, now you must help to preserve it. Wheat is needed for the allies. Waste nothing. Don't waste anything in New York."

This poster was aimed at the Jewish imigrant population, it was also printed in English, Gaelic, Magyar, Lithoanian, Italian and other languages.
