The Bal de l’AAAA (Artists’ Ball) was an annual masked ball to support the arts—the "Aide Amicale Aux Artists.” Held at Magic City a famed dance-hall competitor to the Moulin-Rouge. A “festival of lights,” pink, blue, and yellow spotlights silhouette a dancing couple.
