A floating goddess holds a globe with the symbols of the 1939 World's Fair, the Trylon, Perisphere, and Geosphere in her arms as patrons enter the fair grounds. Very rare large size. Atherton was a graphic designer and a surrealist painter who designed numerous covers for The Saturday Evening Post, Fortune and Holiday magazines. His output of posters was rather small; this poster for the New York World's Fair and at least two World War II posters.
