This poster is currently unbacked. At check out, you will be given the opportunity to add backing which would cost $195 and take approximately 6-8 weeks.
Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.
International theatrical release of The Murder Men, John Peyser crime thriller (a compilation of episodes from the 1961 TV series "Cain's Hundred”).
Starring Mark Richman, Dorothy Dandridge, James Coburn, and Joe Mantell.
"Cain's Hundred" is a completely forgotten 1961 TV show that ran for 30 episodes. It starred Mark Richman as a mob lawyer who falls in love and decides to quit working for criminals, but then his fiancee is killed by the mob, so he goes to work for the FBI, trying to help them convict 100 mobsters (hence the title). The series was similar to "The Untouchables", and included many of TV's most recognizable faces in early roles, and was produced by Paul Monash, who also produced "Peyton Place" and "Judd for the Defense", and had himself written the pilot episode of "The Untouchables".
