This poster is currently unbacked. At check out, you will be given the opportunity to add backing which would cost $550 and take approximately 6-8 weeks.
Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.
Large size and really nice illustration Legione straniera (released in English-speaking countries as "Trouble for the Legion"), the 1953 Basilio Franchina Italian/French military French Foreign Legion romantic war melodrama starring Alberto Farnese, Irene Galter, Viviane Romance, Marc Lawrence, John Kitzmiller, and Giulio Cali. Note that John Kitzmiller was a black African American who served in Italy in World War II, and he decided to stay there after the war, and he appeared in around 50 Italian movies!
Please note folded as original, may have slight tears in folds, small losses in borders etc. See photo. This poster is printed in 2 parts.
