Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

Two sided educational poster of an iconic American farm, a young girl plays with her pet dogs as hay is loaded into the hay loft and cows, horses, goats roam. Wheat is being cut in a neighboring field and pigs feed in fenced enclosure. Mom waves from a car in front of the modern farmhouse. And just to make the picure complete a grehound bus passed by on the nearby highway.
The back side is titled City Picture, with an aerial vie of what appears to be a smallish city in middle America. Located on a river, the city has a stadium, skyscrapers, a court house, and theater among all the other necessities of moden living.
