Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself.

Possibly the most beautiful American poster ever.
Please note we bought this poster from an elderly gentleman whose family has it since the fair. Unfortunately, he dropped it framed down a flight of stairs and there are a number of tears long and short., The restoration was great and this has the best color I have ever seen in this poster. The price is approximately 50% less than an A condition.
This poster sold at Swan Auction Galleries on 29 February for $15,000.
